Child at schoolAverage tax rates for maintenance and operations in Texas school districts, per $100 of assessed property value. Figures are weighted, meaning that school districts with large enrollments factor more heavily into the averages. Tax rates are capped at $1.50, not including the additional money that districts can raise to pay for new facilities.
